Feb 5: The good bits between the TV programmes

For many people, watching TV is a quotidian act... Some channels carry advertising, which helps raise revenue. Advertising revenue is important, and ads have become increasingly part of our daily culture. We are 'served' with ads on most social media sites (the price we pay for handing over data about ourselves free of charge)

On average, we see 47 television ads a day - according to this report, which may now be a little out of date.

There are many ads with geographical connotations like Richard Ayoade's ads for HSBC....
"We are part of something far far bigger"
It's worth unpicking this one for the links to globalisation that it mentions, and exploring what they might be in more detail...

What other ads contain a slice of geography?
